Transforming Lives

Nestled on over 50 acres in Daniel Village, Salima District, Malawi—just 100 kilometers east of Lilongwe—the Pothawira (Safe Haven) community project is a beacon of hope and transformation. Our mission is to serve the people of Salima through a holistic approach that combines healthcare, education, and economic empowerment, enabling individuals to improve their lives and become active contributors to their communities. In partnership with our US donors, the Hovde Foundation, and Many Hopes, we also provide vital support for orphan care, offering vulnerable children love, stability, and a brighter future.

We empower organizations in local communities.

At Pothawira, we serve developing countries by expanding access to: quality healthcare, education and training, and sustainable economic opportunities.

Our Vision

Our vision is clear: to transform Malawi by addressing both physical and spiritual needs, fostering a thriving, resilient community.

Building for Sustainable Growth

Since acquiring this land, we have built and continue to maintain an orphanage, health clinic, primary school, birthing center with a women’s shelter, water towers, and a maize and rice mill—each serving as a foundation for sustainable growth. Early in 2022, we will launch a new learning center that will offer both primary and secondary education, opening doors to brighter futures for countless young lives.
